NOUN 2022 Matriculation: More than 19,000 freshers are set to matriculate
The management of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) wishes to inform all 2022_1 semester newly admitted undergraduate and postgraduate students, their parents/guidance, well-wishers, as well as members of the general public about the date for the 22nd Matriculation Ceremony to officially usher in the new students in all Study Centres across Nigeria.
About 19,766 fresh students are set to matriculate at the 22nd matriculation ceremony of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) slated to hold on Tuesday, 12th April, 2022.
A press release issued by the university spokesman, Malam Ibrahim Sheme, said the ceremony will hold simultaneously across the 103 study centres of the university across the country at 11.00 a.m. virtually.
According to the statement, it will serve as a platform to formally welcome all freshmen admitted into the university for the 2021-2022 academic session.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olufemi Peters, is expected to welcome the fresh students and matriculate them into the university.
Sheme said this year’s ceremony is unique in the history of NOUN as it is the first time the institution is holding matriculation on a week day.

NOUN Requirements for Collection of Matric Gown
New Students should visit their Study Centre with the underlisted items to collect their matric gown;

NOUN Student’s ID Card

Receipts (the original & photocopies of all NOUN registration documents in your custody that you used or obtained during your Course/Semester Registration process)

NOUN Admission letter ( print it and make photocopies as well)

Some study centres may ask you to pay a fee to get your matric gown which will be refunded when you return the gown after the matriculation ceremony.

You’re expected to fill the National Open University of Nigeria OATH FORM ( your study centre will provide this for you)
